I can’t actually ignore the marijuana plants, because if another ranger sees them they will guess I turned a blind eye to illegal activities.
As a park ranger, I totally get the joy of heading to work in the forest every single day. I can actually go numerous days without interacting with another man face-to-face. I talk to the office on the telephone regularly and the truck sound dock, and log my findings over my tablet. It’s not especially interesting, but basically what I do is look for issues and rotten trees in the woods and parks of the city. I mark the ones that need to be taken down, and report them to the office in a timely fashion. They always send out a crew to cut down the trees. Another responsibility I have is to report any cannabis crops I manage to come across, so the police can come out and destroy them. This is a section of the task I do not enjoy so much, because I smoke cannabis regularly and don’t like to see it go to waste like that. On the other hand, I appreciate my task immensely and it pays me pretty well. I honestly can’t jeopardize all of that merely because I want to protect a couple of cannabis plants. I really can’t harvest them myself, because most people understand that marijuana farmers actually have guns to protect their property. I can’t actually ignore the marijuana plants, because if another ranger sees them they will guess I turned a blind eye to illegal activities. So I constantly do my task. Whenever I find cannabis, I never feel too good about it. Thankfully my task pays me well enough that I can visit a cannabis dispensary when I need to, and not have to be concerned about growing it or harvesting it for myself.
